County Criminal Report
This search is a manual search of a specified county courthouse for felony and misdemeanor convictions and pending cases, usually including date and nature of offense, sentencing date, disposition and current status.
This search is performed by trained court record researchers and generally goes back 7 years per state requirements. Average turnaround time is 24 to 72 hours. Protects employer from negligent hiring exposure and helps reduce threat of workplace violence, theft, disruption and other problems.  For the maximum protection, all jurisdictions where an applicant has lived, worked or studied in the past 7 years should be checked.

Statewide Criminal Search
This search varies from state to state according to states accessibility. Records may include convictions only from the Department of Corrections, or felony convictions/felony and misdemeanor convictions from the states repository. Average Turnaround time varies from 24-72 hours.

Federal Criminal Report 
These records represent cases brought by the Federal Government against an individual or corporation for actions in violation of Federal Laws. There are 241 US District Courts, with each state housing one to four federal district courts. The Federal Criminal Record search is not a nationwide search. Records are recorded at each Federal district and must be searched per Federal district.. Results are available in 24 hours.

Instant Statewide Criminal Report
This search contains criminal records from state provided databases. The records available vary state to state and are updated by the state weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, or quarterly. Note: This search is recommended only as a quick reference for a more detailed search or as a back-up to a county criminal search.

A search of a specific state’s live repository. Details in the report usually include: identifiers, registered address, aliases, case numbers, charge(s), conviction details and period of incarceration

Civil Searches

County Civil Record Search (Upper and Lower Courts) 
Civil history records provide information about claims, suits and judgments filed by individuals or corporations against other private parties or corporations. Discover whether your applicant has sued former employers or has been sued for reasons that are relevant to employment.  An employer should use this information where it is relevant to job performance.  Average turnaround is 24 to 72 hours.

Federal Civil Records Docket Search 
This search returns all records stored at the Federal District Civil Court level by name match only and/or Nature of Suit. If you don’t get a name match your subject does not have a previous federal civil court history and thus a more detailed search is not necessary.
